Not able to delete community post I made

I was not able to delete a community post I made in the Rocket Leauge forum, and many of the players there are very toxic so I got like 1 person answering my question about a game mechanic and like a bunch of people just flameing me for no reason. So I wanted to delete the post but it wasn't possible? Wtf. Like I don't want to keep the post up just so more rude ppl could flame me after I had my question answered.

I was able to edit the post but not delete, is there a reason for this or did I miss something?

That is unfair though, like u got 7 ppl telling u "f u" in the comments pretty much and u cant take the post down and just have to take the hate like who came up with that idea? Only option is to edit the post to stop people hateing on ur comment and then u get a warning for "baiting" people to the post. When all u really wanted was to shut the darn post down.

Okay, but if the post is nolonger mine then they should IMO take my name off it. Why am I still credited as the writer if its not mine, if they gave an option to take my name off as the post creator then I could accept that post belonging to the "community" and not being my post.

I really don't want to have to go thorugh the hastle to contact modderators or write a report complaint and make a big deal out of the situation. I really just think steam got a bad community posting system that doesn't let u delete posts. Imagine if FB had the same s**t, people would flip. This system steam got could just lead to harrasment real fast, anyone that dont agree with my view on the mechanic being bad or good can just click on my profile and flame me even if the post is closed.

Basically "welcome to the internet".
You are on a public platform that you do not control and posting something can and will lead to people replying with different opinions. Standard international Internet harshness.

I have not checked your post history but in my book you should learn to move on, ignore your thread, unsub.
And as you said "rocket league", the game is dead in my book and gone from Steam. there is nothing really to discuss in the remnant hub of the game.
I am happy I got everything refunded and psyonix can eat their own shorts. And I always remember the playerbase as toxic anyway. csgo random matchmaking on weekends in europe is more enjoyable. nastrovje my Russian teammates ;)

Filling a report about an abusive post takes a few seconds. If they are all for the same reason, you could just copy+paste the same thing in the report box and do them even faster.
