Can't send gif artwork

I made sure my gif is smaller than 10MB but it keeps failing to send.

Any help?

Error Code: -103

Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet.

Obviously, I am connected to the internet.

By "send" do you mean upload? Try uploading through the Steam client rather than the web browser. The web browser can be a little be more picky.

Also I suggest making a copy and uploading a smaller size just to test to make sure it's not because of the size. Just because it may be limited to 10mb does not mean it always works at or near that size.

I suggest ezgif, a free online editor.

Yes I tried both the steam client and chrome and they both failed.

And I did resize with ezgif because it was 12mb, now it is only 8mb

The box is exactly 506x506 so you should crop it to avoid it being distorted or resized automatically. I don't know if that will solve your error 103 code (it may just be busy servers) but you should be resizing your art to fit perfectly at all times.

And the side boxes are 80x100 in case you cared.

Well, if you look on my profile, it seems to be doing a good job keeping the proportion so, I'm not very worried about that right now.

Yes, if one of the dimension is smaller than 506 then it will be ok which is the case in your instance.

reduce filesize until it works. it may be 8mb on your end but all images get reencoded and gifs tend to get bigger.

I still have the original file I used to upload that gif I posted above and it has the same 6mb as it says on the artwork page

I've cropped the edges around the gif to reduce its size and it worked.
