Items sent went to another account
Hello, today I wanted to send my items for my trusted friend. After sending the exchange offer, I confirmed it over the phone and waited for the exchange to be completed. After 10 minutes, it turned out that neither me nor my friend have these items (worth over $ 100). The history of the exchanges shows that the items went to the account of a person who probably does not exist, has the same avatar and name but has no other information. Below, I am sending my Trade History, Friend's Original Profile, and No Information Profile to which the items allegedly ended up. The second account to which the items were allegedly sent is lvl 0 and has my items in the inventory. It has the same data, i.e. it is a duplicate of a real friend's account

your account is compromised
DO NOT TRADE

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.

Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account.

There really is no possibility? How will I contact Steam Support? Will they return the items to me?

Stolen items are not returned - contacting support is not going to change that. This is their policy in that regard: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9958-MJDG-3003

Have you secured your account by following the above steps in the first reply?

No need to contact, items are not returned.

Help how? The user still has their account and items are not restored anyway.

No. You initiated a trade and confirmed it whilst your account and API key was compromised after you allowed your credentials to be phished. Incompetence is not compensated.

Make sure the steps are done in full and without fail and ensure this does not happen again.
