downloads causing HIGH cpu usage.
This just started today. Downloading games on steam now uses close to 90% of my CPU. Limiting the bandwidth steam uses seems to help but I've got no idea why this even started.

The only thin to change since I last used my PC (which was last night), is the fact that I upgraded my internet. Can a higher download speed cause steam to use more CPU?

yes. also dependent on how well the game was compressed or not.

So high downloads speeds can cause steam to use more cpu? interesting. Never knew that.
