Doom Eternal wants me to pay for it again.
Hello Gentlemen,

"Very nice, so the Bethesda answered it is steam, and to reffer to steam, I reffered to steam, and the thread was closed, that I have this one, and here I can do nothing, because Bethesda even did not answer the last message where I said the links for the game are only to Bethesda. So I believe I just should buy the game again if the steam allows, or simply create the next account. I even got the e mail to rate their help already. I think I would like to make it loud about this one. Yes, I restarted the steam, yes I checked the integrity of game files. I believe as one of many buyers I simply do not count, the computer says pay, I pay, is that right?"

I quote it here, because I typed here once, and I was moved to Doom Forums, But Bethesda see it solved, saying it is Steam's Fault. And I can rate their help. My thread here is moved to Doom forums, but they already said it is not their, so to sum up, the problem is solved yes? Because neither there nor here it is solved, but it is closed by shutting donw my previous thread as I have one there, so, the circle is full, it is solved.

While it is not of course, yes I verified three times already as I restarted steam. Yes I bought it on steam.

Finally, that is 100% Bethesda error. Nothing to do with steam and nothing steam can do to fix I'm game errors.

Typically games don't just get removed from your account. You've left out too many details out of your posts.

  1. When did you buy the game?
  2. How did you buy the game?
  3. Does it show up in your purchase history?
  4. You're sure you didn't buy it on a alt account?

Typically games don't just randomly get removed from your library or purchase history. People forgetting they have alt accounts is a common issue.A decent number of people get mad at the suggestion they have an alt account they forgot about, and you'd be surprised how many eventually discover how faulty their memories are. Or if you had an issue with your choice of payment and Steam didn't actually get the money, they're not going to let you keep the game either. Although I feel like that would be more visible and trigger some so of account lock or warning.

But those are your options really, wrong account, payment issue/dispute. Trying to maintain you bought a game and Steam randomly took it away from you is a touch row to hoe, and not very plausible. And if you haven't ruled out the more likely issues, you're going to want to do that before pursuing a convenient fantasy.

OP has been posting in the actual Doom Eternal forums and does have the mouse icon showing ownership. But from what I gather this is an in-game problem.

I have bought it on the second of July 2020
I have bought it here on steam by pressing the purchase button.
It indeed do show in my purchase history. What is more, here surprise, I played it, i have uploaded screenshots, I have achievements.
I believe I have bought it on this account because I have no other account.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game?

Is it connected to the correct Bethesda account?

Love this one too. I cannot afford to reinstal the game as my internet will not allow me to sue so many gigabytes, it would take few days. I believe and bravely assume it is connected to the good account as I have one and one only account.

You haven't even posted here what he actual issue is, what error message your getting or what problems your having....

Does anyone know if the user will still have the mouse icon showing but the game is appearing as uninstalled, such as covered on the support page we know so well ?

Would it not still show the icon that OP owned it even if it was a problem such as covered on the support page ?

Uninstalled or not, it always shows if owned by that account.

OP is able to launch the game apparently and is getting some error message once he is IN the game. So doesn't appear to be a steam issue, although it would help tremendously if he actually posted the error or a screenshot of it...

Why people post about errors and don't actually include the error astound me.

Oh, I see. Apologies for my misunderstanding about the issue. I tried to read the post in the Doom forum but it was a bit hard to follow. Thanks.

Yea, posting the error messages does help for sure.
