Problems with URL Sharing
Is anyone else having problems sharing links? Specifically in the reviews section of a store product.

I had published the github repository of a software developed under GNU GPL-2.0 because the developer didn't bother to do it himself. I had no problem until I decided to edit the review today, now it gets removed.

Keep in mind that GitHub is not a malicious or toxic website, and there is no rule against publishing links in places like the reviews. Also, I tried using only "https://", it also gets removed by default. What's going on?

github can host malicious everything. there was a phishing website a few days ago that was hosted on it and that is just a recent event.

dunno if github got flagged since then because of that
but i didn't care much anyway when i saw your "review"

that is frikkin embarrassing.

and this is since the store page was created in 2015[web.archive.org], way before you wrote that "review"

your "review" is moot and more a proof how many people are incompetent human beings. you and everyone upvoted that should be ashamed.

I asked about the censorship in GitHub links, not on your opinion.

This one was also blocked today...

I asked a mod about it.

Thank you for your answer, but my problem is not with the URL html format, is with the link itself. Whether I write it as [url=] or I just put it as a link, it gets removed by Steam. It could be what wuddih said about GitHub being used maliciously lately.

Yes, and in this case I think it makes sense. That said, here OP was likely getting triggered bythe cooldown - GitHub is not blocked.

I find it interesting since if I didn't edit the review in the first place, the full link to the GetHub page would still be available and my review unbanned. In cases like this I wish Steam would have an actual support.

Contact support if you wish to appeal it.

Is there any way to actually contact the support? I've only seen generic pre-made problem/answer pages in the Steam Support page. There used to be a way of contacting a person but that requiered doing to in the Portal 2 support page or something, and it never felt legit.

Nevermind that, I accidentally ended up finding a way to contact the support. Thank you for your help.
