2. Valve will never acknowledge the legitimacy of any 3rd party service that utilizes Steam in any way. everything 3rd party, you will use on your own terms and risks.
3. the main function of this is to make using custom images for Steams grid view of the library easier.
the library will receive a general overhaul next week being release in beta and that whole stuff might no longer work at all because the grid view might no longer be there.
cause the Library Manager seems kinda weird.
i would love to see games from other libraries (epic, uplay ...) in steam *even when they are not installed* but that seems impossible.
i can always "add a non-steam game" when i install a game from one of my libraries
The answer is yes, it is safe.
I've been suggesting users use it and also use it myself for well over a year now...
