I5 with GTX 1650 VS I7 with GTX 1050Ti. Which one is better?
Hey guys. I need help in deciding which combo is better. My primary reason for it will be for gaming. Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated. This question might sounds really dumb but my knowledge of cpus are quite minimal so I would be really thankful for any tips.

It depends on the generation of CPU. But assuming they're both fairly recent the I5/1650 build will be better for gaming.

You need to find out how much RAM both systems have and exactly what model of I5/I7.
thank you for your help. I will get back to you as soon as Ive found out the specs.

assuming both system has the same amount of ram, has the same gen(cpu)

id say always go for i7 because

1) gpu's are not that much apart in performance

2) gpus are easier to replace than cpu. (bc cpu has to be compatible with the chipset of the mobo and ram has to be compatible with the mobo as well)

ps: replace gpu for upgrade just in case youre wondering.

if this is around $800 and has an ssd then this is better for gaming. the higher clock has more impact on mid-budget gaming then count of cores. performance impact plummets after quadcore,

this is better for light video/render stuff, worse for gaming.
same, would not spent more then $800 on this

both are laptops parts and both gpus are their respective mobile versions. they have the correct die on there, but they are restricted by their thermal design.
laptops are generally dependent on their thermals. doesn't help much when you have a 9900k in their and that thing thermal-throttles while playing solitaire because the design is garbage.

does it have to be a laptop?
for $800 you get a gtx1660 ti based desktop system that is double the gpu performance.
Sorry for the late reply. The situation is well.....complicated. Im studying overseas and Im not sure how I'll be able to bring the whole pc with me if i do choose to buy a pc. If I do choose to go with it, how much would it weight for the pc?

You can build a HTPC that’s not that much bigger than a laptop. It’ll plug into any TV with a HDMI.
