Can you get a VAC ban from having autoclicker open but not active?
I was having some fun with my buddies on TF2, and I got tired and logged off, but I noticed my autoclicker was still open. It wasn't active at all during my gameplay, just open. Anyone know if VAC will detect you?

Depends on how it works, if it injects code into a VAC secured game, yes.

It was just an application you open, and press a button to start, no injecting during the process

"Application". In other words, an .exe file ?

Modifications don't always only do what they are advertised to do. Unless you wrote the code yourself, you don't know for sure what it does, or what else it may do.

Some modifications come bundled with cheats, and/or are malware. So it may also depend on where you got it. Don't post the link here if it was a download, please.

VAC detects known and actively running cheats. You'll know whether this tool was detected as such within a couple of weeks. No-one here can give you a hard answer.

If it really REALLY just sends mouse clicks, it's safe. Totally safe. Assuming it really REALLY TOTALLY REALLY only sends mouse clicks. Because mouse clicks sent via API look like normal mouse clicks to the clicked program.

Yeah, all it does is send mouse clicks, you just choose the speed and then press a button to start it

Yes, it was a .exe file, but it was never in use in my gameplay, just open in the background, and trust me, I've used this thing for months on basic clicker games and no strange activity has been occuring

In that case you're safe. Also, stop doubleposting. Post all you want to say in one post.

As the good Reboot said, and I agree, it sounds safe. I just wanted to take the opportunity to warn you (or anyone else that may see this) about the possibilities with downloaded modifications and applications such as that. Thanks.
I use a few diffrent auto clicker while I'm idle in VAC servers getting my items and having a few idle/clicker games open on other screens. You'll be fine and you said you are not using but open, def you'll be fine.

If you are worried anyways why keep it open at all if you are not using it?
