Pop Up Ads etc.

Hi, recently I have found a certain pop up ad when I go to the store page on the application. Which comes up with pornography etc. I have used 4 different anti virus removers and have also uninstalled my steam and lost 100GB worth of important stuff to fix this and it still didn't work. If anyone can help me or knows how to fix this, if you need to know more about what it is, I can show you an image.

Have you tried malware bytes? If so and you've tried 4 different av programs, then it may be time for a reformat

steam settings -> webbrowser and delete cache.

1 anti-virus[www.pandasecurity.com] and 1 anti-malware[www.malwarebytes.com] scanner is enough otherwise they will conflict (I advise the two I linked) and that popup is caused by malware

Well I've used 3. Malware-Ant Bytes, Hitmanpro, AdwCleaner

I mean it doesnt pop up in a browser it just has an image saying "Want a lot of sex? come here" and then one of those "adult" games

you could also try HighJackThis[sourceforge.net] its on of the better anti malware scanners

steam is not much more then a webbrowser. except the library everything is a website you could look at your normal webbrowser.

so did you delete the steam webbrowser cache?

Yes i deleted the webbrowser cache but it didnt fix it. I might try some of the options above

Again you have malware. Unless you clear that out the issues will persist

there is also a "keep personal files" option but the malware might not be removed if you use that

If virus/malware scanners arent able to remove the malware you have some stubborn malware on your pc the only way then to remove it is a full OS reinstall
