Automatically Adding Facebook Friends

I recently had my account recovered and long story short one of the "side effects" was my friends list completely cleaned out. While there are some strangers I've added from Recent Teammates that are forever lost, I want back the bulk of my Fb friends accrued over 12 years on Steam without having to add them one by one.

Can this be done? And yes I've read the FAQ - like all FAQs it's close to useless.

you can link your facebook there

the facebook linking feature only every would be able to add people that also had their facebook account linked to Steam .. and most people do not do this.
