HDMI Not Detected
Hey there friends! Finally built up my PC yesterday! Plugged it into a monitor and installed Windows. Stopped right after that, as it was 3 am and had to grab some sleep. This morning, wanting to download newest drivers and start to personalize it, the monitor won't pick it up. Switched HDMI cords and still nothing.
Even tried A NEWA HDMI with connection to the TV and no pickup. Any suggestions?

Turn off system, ensure HDMI plug into the GPU, not the motherboard, then power on system, if nothing, then try this, unplug the power core from the back of the system, then remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard, hold power button for 10 seconds, place back the CMOS battery, then plug back the power core, then power on system.

check the screens if they use the correct source input.

Ok will try. Yes plugged directly into the GPU. Tried hdmi with a laptop and it works so I will try this method!

Though I'm actually not sure how to do that..

It's a round battery you want to remove on the motherboard. It will be around the bottom of your motherboard, unplug power core 1st which is back of your system which is a thick black cable, then remove the CMOS battery, may want to use something thin to help get it out.

Also have a gigabyte B450 D3SH
RYZEN 3600 and RX 590 GPU. Not sure if that would help any

CMOS battery at the bottom left side between the PCI-e next to the smallest one.

Try this, unplug hdmi from pc, power on system give it a min, then plug hdmi in, give it about min, then hold power button, and power back on, and see if anything appars on screen.

^This, try switching input until land back on hdmi.

If all else fales, connect HDMI to motherboard, and if it appars, then it would be for whatever reason just defaulting to your IGPU for whatever reason.

connecting it to mobo will not work, the cpu has on gpu on die.

You're right about that, keep forgetting that for Ryzen cpus.

Looks like it was a bad monitor. Had it taken into a local MicroCenter for a free diagnostic. Worked fine on their monitor, then trying it now on my brothers. Guess it was a bad monitor, but odd, that it worked fine yesterday and with laptop. Oh well, time for a new one I suppose.

That's not good, try testing the monitor again with your laptop, if it doesn;t work then might be the port on the monitor the issue, or the monitor just faulty.

Now this is something I just found.
I think it may be my HDMI port. It just doesn't pick up for some reason, even on the new monitor but DVI works like a charm. What could that be, I wonder.

Sounds like faulty HDMI port.
