Accessing the Full Steam Catalog

Hi, i am looking for a specific kind of game, very specific actually:

I want to find games that are Local Multiplayer, full controller support, strategic, action focused, match-based and allows up to 4+ players simultaneously.

The only game that springs to mind (but i have played to death) is something like Worms. Its gotten so bad that i am now creating my own game Eonwar to address this neglected area of the market.

So i find it incredibly frustrating that i can't access a full list of the entire steam catalog so that i can apply MY filters to it and shortlist entries to locate games that honor my filters. The closest i have found is to go to > Steam New Realeases > scroll bottom and hit Show All New Releases
but surely this is still filtering games within a certain release period. I am concerned that games older than, say, a year old will not feature in this list and i'd like ot know how ot access them please.

PS. i cannot ask steam support, becasue i cannot find the correct predefined support option to ask my query!

Maybe what you want is: Enter some rubbish into the 'Search Store' search bar, then select your filters on the right and remove the search query you typed in at the beginning from the list at the top?

Hey Wunibald... yer that might work. So i tried it and Steam returns 31314 titles. Seems pretty low number to me. Even 31314 is not a true number of games as it will include DLC's, bundles etc.


Does anyone know if steam remove games from its catalog after a certain amount time?

that number is correct and includes everything, small differences based on regional restrictions. dunno why you think that number is low. 2 years earlier and this would not even be 20000.

well wuddlh considering that i've been using steam for around 15 years, and it releases around 40-50 games per day, 365 days a year.... you get where i'm going with this?

But OK sure thing, if that is the entire catalog then so be it. Just want to be sure it is. Cheers

yeah, that is over-exaggerating the current state and projecting it to the past barely 14 years. until 2013 it was max 1 game per day on average. and today it is more 10-20, not 40-50.
