Steam removed animated stickers from my profile?

So just now I was chatting with my friend and I was gonna send him an animated sticker when I found out it wasn't there anymore. I was sure that I bought it but now It's on sale. Is this a bug or something?

Why would it be a mistake if people were getting points from the refunded items?

That's how it should work although it should had happened before the total points were given at the start of the event.

That's what I mean. The points were given by mistake and 9 days AFTER the sale started were finally revoked. That's a big fail on Valve's end.

A mistake like this should really have some comment from their behalf.
