STEAM SUMMER SALE INVESTING 2020
As you all know, this June 25 will be the launch of the steam summer sale. This will cause a huge dip in the steam market with csgo items due to people selling their skins for games they wanna buy. Any suggestions on what skins I should invest in? I was thinking the Ak47 redline and USP-S Orion.

Limited items are probably always the best "investment" as they undoubtedly eventually rise in prices, how long it takes is unknown but that would be my suggestion if you want to do a long term "investment".
perhaps take a look my inventory, for inspiration. at least that is my approach and it has not failed me.

EDIT: while csgo is getting close to the 10 year anniversary one could question how long again it might be before valve releases a new version in which the market economy for csgo might crash.
so perhaps really long term "investments" are not that smart but you can still get quite a good profit margin on items that are a bit costly so you might not get as many of those items depending on the initial funds you put into the "investment".

So what are you investing in this summer sale?

the last thing i bought was these hydra passes back in november 2019 and they are now doubled in price.

i am not really that actively looking at the market but i had a feeling the hydra passes would rise and clearly they did.

but i would still say even at 15 euros as they stand now is not a bad price, as they eventually will rise even further.

And do you get them sold?
As long as no one buys the stuff the value is 0.

normally i would have assumed a question like this would come from a kid. I guess in some rare cases a german like yourself with a 1000 + games, comes along and ask the question as well.
Being the nice guy that i am known to be, i will treat you as a kid and walk you through this.

You can look the vanguard pass.
https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/Operation%20Vanguard%20Access%20Pass

which originally costed around 10 euros while the vanguard event was going on.

today that sells for around 300 or so euro.

so i originally had 15 vanguard passes, over time span i sold a few to fund purchase of games, and other items as well.

i still have 7 vanguard passes which would net me 2100 euros if i sold them on the market today.
not bad for an investment that cost me around 150 euros, right?

but that wasn't your question, you insinuated that nobody buys these items for these prices because you lack the ability to look at a chart and understand the data it shows.

but fear not, i am here now, so i will walk you through that as well.

just the past 7 days the vanguard pass was bought 3 times, the past 30 days it was sold 6 times.

not impressive i know, but the lowest purchase was around 270 euros, the past 30 days.

now the same story goes for the other items, i do hope you learned something today.

[patronizing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥]

If you don't understand what I meant with this:

Stuff in your inventory is worth nothing unless you sell it. You can hoard up millions of dollars. If you miss the chance to sell it you will have made a net loss buying your stock.
Everything has a market cap of people willing to buy it ffor exorbitant prices. Unless you count that poor souls who play the market game and try to buy everything to sell it for more. Which usually ends up in a closed circle.

There is not coming "source 2" to csgo
