Following the advice there may make the game run more smoothly. The computer you have is actually not all that bad, it's just a little on the middle-low end. Is this a laptop or a desktop? If it's a laptop, it's probably not upgradeable. If it's a desktop, then the first thing you could do to improve performance is purchase a new graphics card (GPU). I believe Nvidia is about to announce a new line of cards, so it may be possible to get a card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or a 1660 Super for a little less than normal. You could also purchase a card from AMD, but I don't have much experience with their products so I couldn't advise you there. The next logical step would be to add more memory (RAM) - but you would want to match it as closely as possible to the kind already in the computer, so you would need to ask someone who knows what they're doing to take a look at it. Alternatively, I believe the brand Crucial has a tool that will show you products that are compatible with your computer; other brands might have similar tools on their websites.
you can get every computer to "lag" with this "game".
8gb ddr4
1tb 7200rpm hard drive
Nvidia ge force gtx 1050 ti 4gb graphics memory
Is that the computer he already has?
Then its fine for most current games with reasonable settings. Dont buy a computer for a 12 $ game. Rule of thumb.
If you one day get a new one, it should have 16gb ram and for grafic, if nvidia, a (xx)60 gtx with 6gb ram.
as wuddih point out, rest is CPU power to controll all the units on the map, and the more there are the better gfx card is needed.
game might be older , but it dont hold back all the units that can be there.
so you actual need a pc in higher end , you might want to go I7 with more cores and cpu
but i dont know if game take advantage of it.
and maybe you should google newest game release titles , not sure what has highest requirements, but its a good clue what ways and newer games has as recommned.
and most i know do this, and shoulds have np with older titles.
again your pockets in what you can afford or will spend,
you mght want to give old pc to the girl depend on her age and game requirements.
but if she is in same age then you are in trouble 2 pc with same tech is expensive.
also try see it as longterm, not sure i belive in share pc, sooner or later they want to play together someday. that can be a issue then many games is per pc.
That's just what that game can do. You can spawn so many entities that it'll give plenty of computers a run for their money
Well, if you got money to spare and need an idea for a birthday present, I think I can find a suggestion for a decent 2,5k$ rig.
If you're really bored and have no idea where to pour money, PC gaming actually still scales when going to +6k$. Now that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive and totally lies in the territory of diminishing returns, to be clear here.
