steam card redeem
I have being trying for five days to redeem a steam card,it says code is invalid but bought from reputable vendor. I have tried numerous times to contact steam support but it just says an error occured and try again later. I think this is totally unacceptable and Steam should address these problems quicker

Define 'reputable vendor'.

The retailer was pc world

Either the code is wrong or your retailer didn't activate the card. What did the retailer say when you asked them about it?

Ensure not to confuse yourself with i with L, O with 0, B with 8, and etc...

If the card not activated, that measn the store you bought it from, did not update their crap to send out a signal to Steam, to update to actvate your card to redeem, that means PC world didn't do their job right, and you will have to take it up with PC world.

^This.

Steam will ask for a full picture of the whole receipt, showing you bought the said Steam card, and they will need a picture of your Steam card.

Spamming support does not help you. When spamming support this may make you wait longer, due to spamming.

I do not see how I am spamming the support if it keeps telling me to try again later due to an error

Which are you doing?

Spamming the support ticket? As that what I was talking about.

Or

Trying to redeem code multiple times?

Have you tried clearing your cache, and cookies?

I don't see that "pc world" (Curry's??? what country are you in???) is a legitimate vendor so I question whether they're truly 'reputable' or not.

Due to the coronavirus, if you did get it from "Curry's PC World" their stores are closed, open for pickup only. You have to make the purchase online then go pick your item up. For a Steam Card that makes absolutely NO sense to buy a Steam Card somewhere else online and then activate it on Steam when you can just make the purchase through Steam.
You're asking to be scammed doing it that way. Just buy it on Steam.

Have you contacted the place where you purchased the card? Steam can't magically make an invalid card number valid. If it's not valid that means....it's not valid, you've been scammed.

So much for the extra steps you took assuming you were increasing your security, eh?
Just buy it on Steam.

This was bought on line in U.K by my daughter as a gift for me and I live in France

If that the case if it was a pick up order. Then there's a chances they never bother scanning the card to update their servers to send out the signal to Steam, which means the card never got activated in the first place.
Contact the seller too.

It could be something like that that happened. Contact the seller, you may have to collaborate with your daughter since she would have the digital receipt number the seller would need to investigate it.

Is the following link not available in the UK??

You can send gift cards to friends directly through Steam. I can understand some scenarios (like the buyer doesn't have a Steam account) may be why some choose to use 3rd party sellers but if middle-men can be avoided...avoid them.
