They want your items. If you trade with a friend like they want, they will redirect the trade to a different account with the same name and avatar, and your items will be gone.
there are several market and trade restrictions applied when you change credentials and Steam guard. those delays make it less possible to get items out of an account.
so they turn this into a bait, story, steps scenario instead to target the victims gullibility, which has more success.
