Non-Steam Game (GTAV)
Im having a ton of trouble with adding GTA V onto my steam library. I go to Games>add non steam game to library, then go to my shortcut to the game, then get "catastrophic failure". Futhermore, after trying to just download GTA through steam, i get a timer that constantly increases. I was able to download GTA through epic games just fine with no issues but i want to be a be to use a controller.

I assume you are wishing to use GTAV that you got through the Epic store, yes?

In which case, you can't just use the executable. You'll have to add the Epic Launcher as the non-Steam game and kind of do it that way.

That's the best you can do.

Unsurprisingly, I guess Epic don't want you to do stuff like this. As for the controller, that should have nothing to do with Steam. I'd be surprised if the PC version of GTA V has no controller support - whatever platform it's from.

You have to add the Epic Game Launcher as non-Steam game.

Blame Epic that you can't directly launch the game as non-Steam.

add the Rockstar Social Club to Steam, then open it from non-Big Picture Steam
You dont need steam to play it with a common controller.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
