Xbox DVR Registry Editor error
CS:GO told me Xbox DVR was going to effect my game so I went to find how to disable it, the first way i found was to mess with the settings in Registry Editor.
The steps were
Open Registry Editor (Run > regedit)
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore
Set the value of DWORD "GameDVR_Enabled" to 0
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\
Create key "GameDVR".
Create DWORD 32bit called "AllowGameDVR" and set to 0
Restart your computer.

I did exactly that and when i restarted I got an error message saying that windows couldn't find c:\GnUqGnUqDe.exe

I undid everthing I did starting from the last step and retracing my steps, then I restarted my PC and got a slightly different message about not being able to find GnUqGnUqDe.exe

Can anyone advise wtf this is all about and whether or not I should be worrying about it?

And my point was to address the steps listed above.

Not about whatever executable he's having as missing.

                                                             EDIT:
Somewhat shocking OP asked this 5 days ago and presumably hasn't scanned their PC since:

didn't know the crap was enabled by default if you are not even connected to it, micropoop.

well, then that problem should be solved and all that is left is the malware thing.

you described 2 events.

the registry thing is cleared up and you did nothing wrong, probably. but in the process of maybe googling a solution to this problem, you could have maybe downloaded some fix tool that was maybe malware ... maybe?! ;)

does the GnUqGnUqDe.exe problem still persist? then you should give your system a proper virus and malware scan. as i mentioned before such random garbage filenames are often used by malware.

Scanning my PC with Norton rn, had to reinstall the poxy thing cause of the windows 10 bug that stops it from opening :steamsad: also enabling every norton extension it offers

Scanned an there were no problems that the scan couldnt fix, restarted and the message still comes up. This is a screenshot of the error http://i.imgur.com/pMUasKB.png
