Trading Cards Not Awarded
I'm having an issue, and my best efforts to follow online guides, tips, and FAQs aren't getting me very far. Also, the Steam support page (https://help.steampowered.com/en/) can run me through some specific topics, but none of them address the issues I'm having. I also can't manage to create any kind of support ticket, as there no longer appears to be any way to create a Steam support account and I don't already have one.

I recently purchased Dungeon of the Endless for myself and for my wife. Great game, by the way. But while she's been getting Steam trading cards as she plays the game, I haven't.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've looked around for a few hours now, but I can't find anything. On a related note, what is Valve's preferred method for users to contact their support staff if, in a case like mine, they can't resolve the issue using the help pages?

You only ever get half the cards in a set from playing the game, you already have 28 hours into the game and you have a private inventory so we cant help you by checking.

i'm assuming you already got your cards in the 1st few hours of play.

Its also possible that your account is limited. Limited accounts don't get cards.

his account that he is posting with is not limited.

Alright, I've looked through the badge page, and it says I've received 3 card drops (and no drops remaining) for Dungeon of the Endless, but I don't recall ever receiving them. I have 3 from my wife (we put them together on my account, usually), but just those 3.

It's quite possible I'm just not seeing something. I just can't seem to find more than those 3 cards.

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry for the confusion.

@OP ... Does your wife have the mobile authenticator enabled?

Could her cards traded to you still be on hold?

Goto your inventory page and check the "Trade Offers" button.

Hmm... No, she doesn't have the mobile authenticator, but it doesn't look like they're on any hold. They seem like all the other things she's sent to my account.

Without using the authenticator, her trades to you will take at minimum 24-hour wait if you've been friends for over a year.

I appreciate your help, but I think you misunderstand me. The cards traded from my wife seem just fine. The issue is that I haven't received any of my card drops from the game we've been playing together. I mentioned her cards as an example that the game does have cards and that we've played long enough for them to drop, but maybe that was just distracting information.

You already got your card drops from the game. I thought we established this and you've already acknowledged it.

You only get half the card to finish a set, check your badges where is says you already got your drops.

for some accounts, cards start droppin after 2 hours of gametime.

and seein your gamelist, it is completely possible you already received all your free drops for nearly every game and already have them in your inventory or already have done something else with it.

@eram: That's what's confusing me: checking my badges says I already received my 3 drops, but the only trading cards I can find are the ones traded to me from my wife's 3 drops. It seems like I never received the cards even though it triggered the drops.

@wuddih: I suppose it's possible something already happened to the cards... I don't remember doing anything, and I can't find anything about them in my market history, inventory, or anywhere else. I might just be crazy.

Well, I suppose the cards are, what, $0.05 a piece? I guess it's probably not worth digging into any further. Thank you, everyone, for your assistance.

UPDATE: Turns out I'm... let's say forgetful? It's kinder than "stupid". I could have sworn that my wife had sent me her cards from this game because we recently consolidated several games' cards, so I believed that the 3 cards I could see in my inventory/history were from her. But... turns out she still has her 3 cards... so the 3 I see couldn't possibly be from her... which means they're from me.

I'm really sorry everyone, I'm completely off.

Could a moderator or something maybe close this thread down?
