Buying a 4 Pack after I own the game

I bought the 4 pack of Table Top Game Simulator. I got a copy for myself, and then 3 more. I want to buy another set of 4 exclusively as gifts, and I wanted to make sure that if I buy a set of 4 again, it will give me 4 copies. The FAQ just says "Furthermore, upon redeeming a bundle from your inventory when your account already owns one or more of the games you will receive a warning that explains which games you will receive an extra copy for before you add the bundle to your Library." And I'm looking for a little more confirmation

you can't buy the 4 pack if you already own the game.

oh ♥♥♥♥ okay, good to know thanks, I'll have to have someone else do the next set I guess....damn I wish I had known that before :( The only other person in a position to buy a 4 pack and get reimbursed just got one of my copies.... that's stupid, I wonder why they do it that way.

still works, but of course it consumes a copy a 4 pack is you and 3 others you dont get 4 copies anyway you only get 3 copies so may as well call it a 3 pack
idk what the last part means with no savings
but you can just keep making alts to get (3pack) to keep giving to friends
then you would have multiple licenses for yourself so you wouldnt have to use family sharing
family sharing wouldnt let you play all at once anyway, with a license on each alt you can play without restrictions, good for ppl with multiple comps in the house then you can have lan parties with the game as well as get gift copies for friends

What Kurumi means is that right now, it's 4 copies for 29.99 making each copy $7.50. If you end up only getting 3 usable copies, each copy becomes 9.9967 each, which rounds up to $10, making it actually more expensive than the current 50% the price of one.

But "alt" account worked for my friends and I, my husband hadn't accepted his gift yet, so I was able to take it back, so we'll buy another 4 pack on his account to get it out to my friends.

I get not wanting to sell the games - but I wish they'd give us a way for multiple people to chip in for a purchase together.

That's unnecessarily complicated to do.

If you're strangers, then it's a "who cares" -- n-packs aren't meant for you anyway, and it prevents people spamming forums to find other people to buy a 4-pack (like they keep spamming certain forums to make multiplayer achievements).

And if you do actually know each other, just have someone buy the thing and collect the money from everyone.

yeah, that's what we were trying to do, but i'm one of the only people who has $32 available at the drop of a hat. everyone else has to wait for paypal and what not to clear.

but like i said, we figured it out, thankfully my husband can still buy another set, and there were only 8 of us total.
