I can't upload a profile picture... help!

I went to go change my profile picture, but when I uploaded an image, it said it uploaded yet the image never changed! I tried to see if I could choose a game avatar, and then upload my own image, but now I'm stuck with a game avatar! Anybody know how to fix it?

Make sure the image is under 200 KB, either .JPG or .PNG, and use this link to upload it:

How can I tell if it's under 200 KB?
It must be, as I saved it the same way as my old one. It's also a .png.

Right-click the picture, choose "Properties". The new window will show the file size.

Actually hold on. Because of the image being above 200 KB, I tried to upload an image below 200 KB (116 KB) and it still doesn't work. Dafuq?

Go to Microsoft Office Picture manager and click edit picture then on the right side click resize

Wait Treber, I tried to upload another image I had which was 116 KB (below 200) and it still didn't work. What the ♥♥♥♥?

Steam Avatar requirements

• Resolution: Keep it square and small (300x300px for example)
  
  • higher is more likely to fail
    
  • Steam will crop and resize it to square with 184px anyway.
• Filesize: less then 200 kilobytes
  
  • more is more likely to fail
• Format: JPG or PNG
  
  • just changing the file extension will not work.

How do I resize and crop my picture?

• You can use Microsoft Paint, it is included in Windows, go search for "Paint".

I've done all that, but it still does not work!

1. Try uploading it using this URL:

3. If it does not work in Steam Client, then try it on your webbrowser and vice versa.

It's funny because my problem relates to none of those. I haven't found a single person talk about their image actually uploading, but never changing.

Dont always try it will be denied just wait 5mins and refresh then upload your picture that size requirements

Ok, still didn't work. It doesn't give me a single error message, it just doesn't change even though it uploads successfuly.

just chil first or play somthing then after that go back and do it

try this check your image size and make lower much better and follow the the pixel too not only the size and then go to profile before you change it try to refresh and then go choose photo and upload it and then refresh again i hope it will help
