What games on Steam are 3D compatible? (I used TriDef). No search available!?? In particular, a space shooter game like "Super Stardust" on the ps4
Hope somebody can help.. I loooooooooove video games in 3D. I use the software TriDef. I have stumbled upon one or two games on Steam that are 3D compatible (that aren't even listed on the TriDef website).

Could somebody tell me ALL the games on Steam are 3D compatible? Or tell me how to search for 3D compatible games? Strangely... there doesn't seem to be an option to do so.. so I'm hoping I'm missing something. I do see I can search for "3d vision" games on steam but that is entirely different -- and still does NOT list the 3d games that I KNOW steam has for sale.

In particular, I'd loooooooove to find a space shooter game like "Super Stardust" on the ps4 or "3D infinity" on the xbox 360 (which has the absolutely BEST 3D I've EVER seen on ANY system) for sale on steam that I can play on the PC.

Any help would be enormously appreciated...

3d is a niche failed tech,and technicaly any game is compatible with tridef(im have it and a 3d tv)but the 3d quality may vary also nvidia put a lock on his own 3dplay so you need to go to the tridef site and ask for a profile game.
also some games have native 3d support the only ones in my library are trine and serious sam.

Buschinstein: That link you provided does NOT unfortunately allow me to search for 3D compatible games. It only has "3D vision" which is NOT the same thing.

Sucy: Regardless of what people think about 3D games, I loooooooooove it. Note: My humble suggestion is EVERYBODY should download the FREE DEMO of "3D infinite" for the Xbox 360 and play that game in 3D. (Meanwhile, it only costs $5 IF you did want to buy it for the xbox 360). It REALLY is good and I haven't found anything that comes remotely close to it on the PC -- which is tragic. As for the tridef site, unfortunately even that site does NOT list the steam 3D compatible games..

Hence.. unfortunately.... My request remains the same:

Could somebody tell me ALL the games on Steam are 3D compatible? Or tell me how to search for 3D compatible games? as already mentioned ... with tridef, every directx game.

there is no such a thing as 3d or tridef compatible. the whole software fakes 3D. it is not a function the game has to provide, the software does it.

wuddih: I know that technically "every" game can be faked (many of which have lame 3d)... but there are LOTS of games that have options in the game to ENABLE 3D that are specifically made to be played in 3D. Some of the STEAM games have this feature that are NOT listed on the Tridef website.

Hence.. unfortunately.... My request remains the same:

in steam is imposible,as i said before the 3d was a niche tech that fails,and now almost none suport it,in my whole library only 3 games suport the 3d in native way,also you maybe find better luck in the tridef site,also you can request a profile with support,and in the forums already had a list of games that support 3d.

Sucy: Thanks for your ongoing support and patience. It is sincerely appreciated. :)

It is very unfortunate that it is "impossible" to do a search for 3D "native" games. Regardless if it was a niche market or not, there are quite a few 3D games for sale but I have NO way of knowing which games they are -- and I looooooove 3D games. That is a GOOF in my humble opinion in the Steam search abilities.

As for the forums.. yah.. I see RANDOM postings about people happening to ask about a particular title that supports 3D, but I CANNOT find a COMPLETE list of games on STEAM that support 3D. And unfortunately, the TriDefe website does NOT list many 3D games that are for sale on the Steam website.

Hence.. you have answered my question.. It apparently is "impossible" to do a search for 3D NATIVE games for sale on steam.. That really is unfortunate... :(

Hence.. I suppose I have no choice but to ask this:

Can somebody provide me with a list of ALL the titles they KNOW has 3D "native" support on Steam?

here is a list of true 3d games,as you see is a tinny fraction from the steam store,but if you really want to play in 3d is better than nothing,just order by platform and search for windows

Sucy: I know you are going to hate me, but once again, that list does NOT even come close to listing all of the 3D games available.. including many that are on Steam for sale.

Hence.. my search continues: Can somebody provide me with a list of ALL the titles they KNOW has 3D "native" support on Steam?

Sucy: Sincerely.. thanks for your help. Yes, I completely understand your frustration.. i'm going through the same thing.. Humbly though... go download "3D infinity" for the xbox 360 from the microsoft store. It is a free demo.. and the game only costs $5. Play that.. then you'll see why i'm searching for more 3D games.. But many thanks again. :)

Wuddih: Either with or without the help of Tridef. I DO have tridef... but I'm looking for steam games that have "native" 3d support... I've discovered that some 3D games that have "native" 3d support are unfortunately not even listed on the Tridef website... Hence.. my search continues.

i am not going through 12000 games on Steam to see which runs on directx because as already explained, the software does it for every game the same way, regardless if the game has own implementations or not or if it is mentioned on their list or not. the list is a marketing gag, you cannot use their list to determine which game has 3d support because close to none of those have and with that said, they should maintain an incompatible games list, that would be way smaller and more helpful. not every game likes other processes messing with it, especially not if the game has anti-cheat or other "do not modify my memory" implementations.

wuddih: I KNOW you are going to hate me also.. but that list isn't complete either... for example, the game 'The Polynomial - Space of the music" is sold on Steam but that is not listed nor is it listed on the TriDef website.

Geesh.. it really shouldn't be soooooo hard to figure out which games have "NATIVE" 3d support in them... bummer.

Hence.. my search continues: Can somebody provide me with a list of ALL the titles they KNOW has 3D "native" support on Steam?

I JUST found this thread and wanted to REVIVE it, as I, too, loooooooove 3D games and want to find a list of ALL the games that support it.

Unfortunately, when asking for help from the COMMUNITY, people feel the need to EXPRESS their opinion about the "failed tech" of 3D instead of just DIRECTING someone toward an answer to their QUESTION or simply saying, "Gee, I don't know."

REGARDLESS of how most people FEEL about 3D, the QUESTION reMAINS:

WHY the over-USE of all CAPS???
