Support will ask for proof of ownership and if your friends has that, they will restore access to him.

If they are cheating already, it is too late.

He bought a stolen account on 'some site'. Sounds like the real owner got it back, so your friend is SOL and deservedly so.

S**t outta luck.

Basically if your friend bought the account from 'some site', it was most likely stolen in the first place, now, it seems either the original owner has reclaimed it, or 'some site' has taken it back to sell again. either way if your friend is not the original owner of the account, then he will have a hard time proving so, and thus is unlikely to get the account back.
//To the friend
The selling or trading of steam accounts is against the SSA and can possibly result in the termination or suspension of the account in question. Simple solution, just make an account for yourself, it is free after all. :)

your friend gave away their log in. so your friend needs to figure out how they gave it away or they will give it away again and again and again. account security is the users responsibility.

lets see what your history shows

see those filtered and Link Removed? using 3rd party sites to log into steam puts the account at risk, using a publicly available computer puts the account at risk.

You would if you read the post. You have also been using shady third party sites known for hijacking accounts. Presumably your friend uses the same sites. Unless you want to be in the same situation as your friend, you need to stop using those shady sites.

You wouldn't need to ask this question if you read this post.

If you didn't read it the first 2 times I have low hopes that you'll read it the third go.

Sorry but your friend has to do all the steps to recover his or her account, and all you can do is pass on information to them, which hopefully will include advice to stop using shady sites or doing otherwise to compromise his or her account.

If the account is currently being used to cheat on a VAC secure server, and VAC detects those cheats or Overwatch sees cheating behavior, the account almost surely will be banned and it will not be removed just because the account was hijacked. Just saying, because you mention cheating and the hijack in your post above.
