Screenshot doesnt work

Hey everyone! Im trying to take a screenshot while playing (pressing F12) but it doent work... Is there an alternativa? Can someone pls help me? Thank you so much

Does the overlay work?

Make sure the setting is checked first, Steam > Settings > Cloud >>> 2nd box. It was reset to unchecked in one of the last updates.

When you exit the game where you took screenshots, it should now automatically open the uploader. You can click "View on disk" to navigate to the screenshot folder.

Other ways to find them...

1. View > Screenshots

2. The recent screenshots will be at the top if the activity on the games library page.

3. In each library page, below the achievement section on the right side, down a bit.

I did what u said: actually yes, the setting was unchecked;
Then, tried again F12 and nothing... went also to the game library and nothing!!! Grrrrr

I dont know but, the specific game wasnt bought on Steam, I added the key. Does that changes something about taking the screenshots?

What game?

I know limited accounts can't post public screenshots but you should still be able to upload them.

Tomb Raider III xD i bought on a site, was sent the key and I added the key on Steam

Yes. And now I tried on a game bought on Steam and the F12 worked with no problems. So, I guess its because of the non Steam game...

Yeah, I bought the game and added the key. But there isnt a way to take a screenshot to a non Steam game?

An alternative I use to copy the screen or things I highlight and copy is Spartan Multi Clipboard Manager.

Great little clipboard utility packed with features that has endless storage vs the windows clipboard that kind of only stores one thing you've copied and is more difficult to access. I use Spartan a lot for a lot of things.

When you don't use the built-in Steam screenshot feature and use an alternative you have to add the screenshots as Art Work to your Steam profile gallery after saving them in an image editor.

You asked about alternatives. That's an alternative.

if the game is a steam game or not does not matter as there is no guarantee that the overlay will work any game and system configuration.

lara boob simulator 3 is stupidly old and depending how f'd up your system configuration is, the screenshot function of Steam will not work on such games.

The game does not work with steam overlay. So screenshots using steam is not possibly.
