steam support not responding
Hello my main account was hacked, i was dumb and handed out my password to a shady site you know the deal. I filed immediately with steam support and gave them all the information. that was about 2 days ago. I still have not heard back, and am growing increasingly worried, I have about 80 games and multiple credit cards on the account. I've tried calling tech support because the problem seems easy, i have plenty of proof that i own the account it just seems like no one has gotten to my case yet. Please help i'm very worried is there something more i should be doing?

When your account was compromised you recieved an email with a link to lock your account. You should have done that immediately.

As far as the credit cards don't worry. When they change your password it wipes all saved credit card info from the account

you wait on your ticket reply. more than 2 days is quite common.

same with mine, almost 1 week but still no respond. worst customer service ever, wont buy any game from steam ever, their service sucks.

on what day did you submit your ticket?
did you figure out how you gave away your log in?
did you fix that hole in your security?

Half of the time they don't respond... and when they do its too late. Don't rely on them to help you that much! Just learn from your mistakes and keep your password private and don't log into fishy sites.

They always respond. Times vary because of how many users get their accounts compromised each day.

as i said most of the time it's too late... when you respond a month later it is usually inconvenient.

Current recovery times is between 2 hours and 2 days https://store.steampowered.com/stats/support

It's never too late to recover an account and there are measures in place to prevent an account from being misused whilst out of the users control.

I understand this. When the steam support won't respond for lengths of time it pushes you to take matters into your own hands hence resulting in the support ticket being useless because you have to solve the problem on your own. I'm speaking from past experience, and have filed many support tickets in my days.

and past does not equal the present. they have added staff and streamlined the ticket system to reduce the number of non support issue tickets.

It got fixed! they sent me an appology, apparently they get about 100,000 messages a day and it takes time. thank you all so much!

I got my account hacked too, the guy changed my password email and phone number, I have my recovery code. Steam support hasnt replied in 5 days. When i tried locking my account it said that my account was already locked. Any help?
