How to detach my friends chat from the friend list window???????

Alo how to do get rid of thsi useless feature that I accidentaly clicked can someone help?

It was supposed to be, drag the chat outside the window but it does not appear to work now.

I'm making a bug report.

Good to come here from a busy working weekend and having to spend a couple of hours stressing out with this useless new chat UI that I DONT WANT. I'm happy with the old one and I HATE the new one. This is why monopolies are a problem, steam now can afford to piss off their customers this bad. In any other business the people behind these decisions would be fired. Unreal.

save your time, dunno what they do in your water.

the button is just for making the window bigger with one click.
nothing was ever attachable or detachable.

you just make the window smaller in width and the individual tabs will pop out into their own windows.

do me a favor and do this:

and watch what happens with that button.

that is since it is there. there was never any docking.

the button is a one-click resize.

I know how to increase/decrease the width of the windows.

The firends list HAS a docking option. You already have it docked. There is no way to undock it since the last update.

Docking using the icon does what it should do initially... dock the chat.

However the icon then disappears leaving no apparent means to undock.

But when you use the method wuddih shows (resizing/moving the friends list over) then chat becomes undocked again when there's only enough space for the friends list.
