What do the catagories under "External funds used" mean?
Hello there

So a few days ago a few people on my friends list noticed I was online at a time when all my devices that are connected to this steam account are turned off.

I checked my login history and it said there was a login from a city 2 states away from me (Sydney, could also be where Australia steam servers are). A few days before that.

Out of curiosity I checked the "external funds used" tab, and there are three listings. One is "PWspend", "OldSpend" and "TotalSpend". Im assuming the total spend is how much money I have spent on this account is, and it the amount stated could be correct.

All of these entries are dated the same day that my account was apparently logged in from Sydney.

There hasn't been anything else fishy on my history, apart from a computer name that has been connected called "#login_emailauth_friendlyname_mobile".

Should this be an cause for alarm?

Thanks

First ammount is total spent money on Steam.
Second one is ammount spent until 2015 (time Steam's updated their backend)
Third one is for funds spent by Perfect World (For Chinese Steam users)

Second amout does not make any sense, if it's "until 2015". I have about 2 dollar difference with first and second one, because made purchase recently with 2 dollar amount. I have purchased stuff on Steam after 2015 many times.

This logic would make more sense, if "OldSpend" means those are older than 14 days (not refundable). TotalSpend means everything. Needs better wording on that page.

OldSpend will never change and has nothing to do with refunds. it is the amount of money spent on Steam til they enforced limited accounts. april 2015.

you can simply disproof your own theory by observing it. the number should change all the time when your theory is correct and to save you time, it wont.

you simply didn't put much money into Steam then the past 3 years then, as the wording says: EXTERNAL funds used. not ANY funds used. it is literally the amount of money you punched into Steam. used wallet money generated from item selling does not count because that are no external funds.
