No luck :(
Otherwise uninstall them from main drive as you have a copy of them, in your library.., grab a copy of all the acf files appman files as you need them when you want to play the games that are moved away from main drive. paste them back into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps
acf tells steam they are installed.
So, I used Steam to move the games to the SSD so I didn't uninstall the games, but they do not appear in the file browser on my C: drive. They do appear where they are supposed to on my supplemental SSD.
might be a combination of you not really remembering how much storage you had before moving files and you are just assuming that something is the culprit while something else is.
just to clarify: moving the games via Steam really moves them, it does not copy them. they are wiped from the old libaray path when that is done.
I promise it's not. This computer was built about a year ago with this being it's sole use besides saving some memes and some google docs work. The only thing that could possibly be taking up 300 GB+ of space that I installed would be games.
Going to try running that windirstat now.
Ran windirstat, which revealed a few things.
1) Origin/Epic Games are actually the source of about 100GB of the space I wasn't thinking about.
2) All the games I had moved moved properly.
3) The size of games today is just mind blowing; my first iPod had a 32GB HD in it, Total War Warhammer would need two to hold it.
4) With the above in mind, I think I also severely undersestimated the size of basically ever OS related thing. The virtual memory file on my PC is huge, given I have 32GB of RAM, I can't imagine I actually need virtual memory at all, but I'm not about to mess around with that and piss directly into the wind.
Time to transfer some more games. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. If you're running into the same problem I was, running windirstat is a good way to go.
