I bought planet coaster CD edition for 40$ (39.99$) And I think I should be able to add freinds and use the community features! I know it says __add to your steam wallet,__ but it’s still very unfair that I can’t add freinds. All my freinds have steam and I’m broke at the moment, and dosent HAVE 5$ to waste on, just to freind my freinds. This add to steam wallet thing should be changed, because I am obviously not a phisher, scammer, or whatever because I BOUGHT PLANET COASTER FOR 40$.

Why didn't you just buy Planet Coaster on Steam? It's in the sale regularly and as much as 75% off. You could've killed two birds with one stone there.

Anyhow, you haven't committed any money to your Steam account so you cannot access features.

Actually, rephrasing my post... I didn’t buy it, my cousin did as a gift. And I can’t buy anything from steam, because my ITunes account balance is at 41 cents. I understand what you meant... but i wasn’t broke from buying PC.

So you spent $0 on steam. You need to spend $5 directly on steam to unlimt the account.

Your friends can add you though if they are not limited.

your ITunes balance doesn't matter, Steam is not ITunes so your ITunes credit doesn't apply here.. you can't but games on Steam with ITunes credit


you have to understand that Steam is not a charity service, and it is a very common thing for businesses to reserve certain features or privileges for PAYING customers..


so your options are either A) get your friends to add you, or B) save up some money and purchase a game you are interested in

And the "limited account" isn't really about money anyway -- as far as I know, it's mostly a security thing: they wanted to prevent people from making fully functional accounts to do things like spamming on forums, and when the account gets locked they would just make a new one.

With $5 lost every time the account is locked, doing this is considerably less attractive.

Nope. Have to add funds right into your wallet, wont change.
