Where has the tools section gone?
Recent update took the tools section out of the available files for downloading. Tools section would have programs like dedicated servers and other utility's that come with the game, but left in tool section for download if one chose to use them. It's not gone, and only ones showing in my library list are ones I had downloaded in the past if I click on tools, but not any of the ones for games I purchased and yet to set up a dedicated server for.

At the library, click on "Games" on the left above your games. The Tools can be selected from the drop-down menu.

Thanks, they just moved the tools menu into the game tab..

Have they moved it again, as it is not under the games tab?

It is in the TOOLS section of your library, by default you're using only the GAMES section.

Can you believe that? I am using Steam desktop app for more than 2 years now... and I ve never, NEVER noticed or even had a slight idea that this button[dl.dropbox.com] is actually a dropdown list. UI design flaws are soooo common nowadays.

It has a drop-down arrow icon. That's the universal indicator of a drop-down field. :2018salienbeast1:

The interface is bloated, and the items are out of scale. Not standard, not universal. Too shaded, too contrast.

We were talking about the drop-down button, not the entire interface.

Which is a design flaw by definition.
Can you imagine a racing car that has wheels designed and engineered without regard to the suspension, traction control and torque?

How is the dropdown menu a design flaw? The down-pointing icon is there for a reason.

Dude, what are you even talking about? And what's with the weird way you're quoting my posts? What is a design flaw, the word "entire"? I don't know, that's all you quoted.

You were complaining about how the drop-down button is badly designed. I just pointed out that it's design is the standard for drop-down buttons: a rectangle with an arrow pointing downwards on the right-side. That's how drop-down buttons universally look.

I'm not talking about the entire library interface, I'm talking about this one button. Whatever else you're going on about here is completely irrelevant.

Did you look at the image linked in reply #5? You do need to be in Large Mode (default), Big Picture and Small Mode are different.
