Steam settings not allowing me to select an input for my microphone.
So i'm having difficulty with Steam games not picking up my microphone. Currently playing Atlas, the push-to-talk indication that my mic is being pressed shows up, but nothing goes through. Went into Steam settings for "In-game Voice" to see if I could test and change microphone settings there. Well, it won't let me choose "Change Device," it is unclickable. Also using "Test Microphone" shows that it too, is picking up nothing. I would greatly appreciate any help in this. I do have my mic set to not allow programs to have exclusive use of it.

This effects every game I play through Steam.

Steam has nothing to do with the games own settings.
ask in the games own board.

You didn't read. Seperate from the game, Steam controls the interface passing through. When you open up the Steam Menu In-Game, choose settings at the bottom, there is an option for In-Game Voice controls. This is why my Voice controls also do not work in Insurgency.

the Steam overlay is still Steam, and still has nothing to do with any voice settings within a game. these settings are only relevant when you are in a Steam (group) voice chat.

use the proper games settings menu if you want to use a voice function a game provides.
