How do you make your playtime public?
I was trying to trade on rocket league garage but it says my playtime settings have to be public. How do you do that?

And here's another proof that Valve screwed up by setting game details to private by default without telling people.
A lot of time passed since they did this and a lot of people still don't know about it.

Honestly I think its a bit fishy that a third party site is saying it needs to see your playtime for trading especially when it involves a game that already bypasses many of Steams security features around trading.

Rocket League does not even use the Steam API for trades.

yep thats why it feels to me like its a bait request designed to get you to start giving them safe info so that you don't hesitate as much later when they ask for something important.

I love steam but , i think a lot of games need trades like pubg hehe

That is something i can actually agree with. PUBG certainly had the right idea regarding trading.

discuss that with the 3rd party site, not a Steam issue.

Some privacy setting were turned on by default due to privacy laws in some countries. In those cases it's up to the user to make that information public.
