why steam guard when I quit big picture?

no idea how to exit big pic so I just log out of steam.
when I log back in I have to verify with steam guard wth?

Strange....No idea why you're missing the other options.

You could try pressing Alt + Enter
It is a shrtcut that switches between Big picture mode and Desktop mode. Once in desktop mode hopefully you can quit Steam normally

ahhh you may be on to it there,forgot that I use it.....

I use -steamos on the shortcut.
new friends/chat is ugly and crap so use that to have old one back.

that explains the missing menu entries.
-steamos is supposed to be used with bigpicturemode exclusively and you are not supposed to do much outside of it. and only ever used if you are actually using SteamOS.

the main client will change to the same way the chat looks ... soo ... you should have better used the last 6 months to acclimate yourself with the new stuff.

yeah the new stuff is ugly and doesn't stay where you put it.
plus it's oversized and takes up too much space.

there was a different work around but they put a stop to that.
so far that is the only anomoly I found everything else seems to work ok.
don't really use BP,hit it by mistake :(
