I charged back in a panic thinking my account was hacked and i think it's too late.
So i was at college and one of my brothera added money into my steam wallet and purchased r6 credits on my account. And bought finka. I got a notificstion from paypal saying that £4.29 was taken from my paypal account. (NANI?!) So i went full ballistic and charged back saying that wasnt me and that i did not have acces to my pc since i was at shool. Then i read up online that charge backs can get me banned. Nani da frick? So i contactrd steam support and they told me to cancel the charge back. The problem with that is that paypal have come to the conclusion that it was unauthorised thus giving me my money back. Am i going to get banned for an authorised purchase? Now finka is stuck on my account and i'm scarrd to play with her as idk if that would get me in trouble.

Was typing fast and i'm panicking because i've spent a lot of money on in game purchases and i dont want that to go to waste.

That might end up in a double ban. Steam and Ubisoft.

I don't even know if there is a fix here. It wasn't fraud, it was your brother being stupid. I would say make him buy you a new account with the games you're going to lose, but I'm not sure that's even possible once you're banned.

I forget which overly long EULA states it, but you waive your right to do chargebacks under steam or uPlay. If you ever chargeback, they burn the account.

You could contact paypal and state it wasn't fraud, but stupidity, but I don't know how long Steam gives users to fix a situation like this one.

I sincerely hope you didn't pull the nani crap with the support rep.

In future, don't share accounts.

You can contact PayPal and cancel/reverse the chargeback. The sooner the better.

Worst case, you can no longer make purchases on the account or use said payment method on Steam.

Contact PayPal customer support they will revert the chargeback manually.

I didnt pull any nani sht with ubi or steam, i told them what happened and that i panicked and charged it back. I also told them that it's already been closed (charge back case). I'll try and call up paypal as you guys suggested. Thanks

I just got off the phone with paypal, they told me it isnt possible to revert the charge back. I'm gonna contact steam again, to see what they say
Because i cant reverse it. The person at paypal told i could pay them again, but idk how that's gonna help.

I would imagine Steam support is going to say the same thing. The chargeback is between you and Paypal...not you and Valve or Valve and Paypal.

1. Never do charge backs, just don't with Steam. I suggest you get that payment reverted, also read here for more info to help you understand what can happen, and what to expect, and how to resolved the issue.

If you wish to have the refund for the DLC, you must do the refund by Steam, not Paypal, as they must send the funds back to you, if you have Paypal pull the funds, this will cause you to get your account locked, remember to follow the refund guide.

2. Talk to your bother, as he shouldn't be using your account, account sharing isn't allowed, and he need to buy his own game. You can look up the SSA terms and read more.

3. You can only get banned by Uplay if you were caught cheating, or abusing the service, if they lock your account on Uplay, contact support, and they will get it resolved, explain clearly what has happen.

Post the exact alert message that you have, copy and paste without any personal details in the paste.

You should contact steam about this. Doesn't it say EXACTLY THAT in your warning?!?

"What if I am unable to reverse the chargeback?"

If a chargeback cannot be reversed by working with the financial institution associated with it, please contact Steam support for further assistance.
