filter by keyboard & mouse?
there is a method to filter games based on controller support. Is there a similar method to filter games based on support for keyboard and mouse?

all games by default support mouse and keyboard. if a game deadserious requires a controller to play it, it is mentioned on the storepage.

okay, I'll reword a different way: is there a way to filter for games that don't have (full) controller support?

+1, today I wanted to filter my backlog by "how well will it play on Deck", and there's no easy way to do that. We need a filter for "doesn't need mouse", or similar.

And I know Deck has a touch screen, or input can be configured as mouse, but using a touch screen or a joystick in something like an RTS is a joke.

No need for a new filter, you only need to use the existing one.

Yes, we need exactly that filter in dynamic collection settings to filter the Library. Not the store.

Like the existing one? The filters panel got a group called "Hardware support" and you can filter games by gamepad support there, among other things. The drop-down box to filter for gamepad support is called "Gamepads".

That's exactly what I'm talking about - that dropdown has 4 options, and each of them (not counting "Steam API") says:
[...], including games which may require mouse and keyboard for navigating launchers, text entry, or other parts of the game.

Filter by "Deck verified", problem solved. "Deck verified" is only given to games not requiring any mouse input (for launchers or whatever else).

No, it is not solved, because "verified" is just 6k games, whereas "verified or playable" is 18k games - a vastly better filter. But I want to exclude games needing mouse from the "playable" part of that.

Also, Deck Verified is given to games that run on Deck out of the box, i.e. without tweaking, like e.g. switching to custom Proton build. Not necessarily to games that have a full controller support.

Actually, there's a filter for "Full Control Support" a bit higher, kinda hidden behind "VR". 😅 Never mind, then.
