Generic Gamepad detected as Playstation 3 Controller

Greetings, fellows.

So, out of nowhere, my generic controller (which is the same model as the Xbox 360 controller) is being detected by Steam as a PS3 controller, and all the main buttons are reversed (A with B, X with Y).

I've tried remapping the buttons, reinstalling the driver and looked for some solutions in the internet, but nothing worked.

Can anyone help me?

I tried doing that, but still doesn't work and continues to detect it as a Dual Shock PS3 controller.

what generic controller do you have?
just because it looks like an xbox controler does not mean it identifies as one.

It's called "Dazz". After doing some research now, I found out that apparently this controller is not fully compatible with Windows 10; it is odd though, because it was working perfectly fine a few days before.

Hey there! So, no, I couldn't find a fix... I ended up buying a Xbox 360 adapter, at the time.

Sadly not, I gave up. I just bought the Xbox 360 controller adapter, and later a Mayflash adapter and started using my Wii U Pro Controller instead.

Try this:
1 .Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off.
2. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.
