Using unofficial Steam API on website
Hi! I am building a website in which I need to have information about each game. I found this unofficial API and it would make my task a lot easier. My doubt is, can I legally use it? Or is there any other similar solution that I can use? I believe i can't use this one, but since I am not sure I came asking if anyone can confirm it. Thank you!

there is zero word from Valve on anything of it. not about limits, not about 3rd party usage, anything.

Valve will not sue your butt or something if you use it any way, other websites use it since years(steamdb) but you should not solely rely on it if your content needs the information from it.

May I ask why you need info about every game?

Just curious.

It's not every game on Steam, just every game that has interest to my website. It's for a kind of videogames Arcade. I want to have information about the games on my website.

This is the official api, it is the store front api and you are free to use it.

It has its rate limits so you can either google around to see the limits or figure them out by trial and error.

So I can use it freely, even in a commercial context? And without having to concern myself with copyright issues from the game developers themselves?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
