Corrupt Disk Error while downloading any game - FIX
I was Downloading GTA 5 and I got blue screen of death. When my computer restarted and I opened steam I tried to restart the download... after a min or 2 it stopped and said CORRUPT DISK. I tried chkdsk /f and /r and ran 3 different disk recovery tools which all did no good but other forums said that was a fix for some people, but it takes a long time and doesn't work for all. So imho it is a waste of time. here are fixes that will def. work.

1. open steam and go to library tab. right click the game you are DLing and click MANAGE DOWNLOADS. hover over the corrupt disk text and it will tell you the file and path that is corrupt. open windows explorer and go to \steam\steamapps\downloading folder. Find the file that is corrupt and delete it. resume download and all should be well.

2. go to your steam directory. steam\steamapps in that folder you will find a folder named downloading. Right click "downloading" folder and click properties. click on previous versions tab and there should be some restore points. pick the latest one and click restore. I was lucky to find i had a restore point 1 hr b4 crash which fixed the issue.

3. If all else fails uninstall and start download from scratch

I hope this helps someone.
