[Bug] Wishlist error "Unsupported time zone"
I'm using Steam Client version 1526683293 (May 18 2018). Clicking on "Store > Wishlist" menu item or the 'wishlist' button in the upper-right of the store pages sends me to what looks like the wishlist, with a 'throbber' animation, but the throbber stays and the wishlist does not appear.

I have the same problem when I use Chrome to visit https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/id/$user/ but in Chrome I can see this error mesage in the console:
Uncaught RangeError: Unsupported time zone specified undefined : wishlist.js:324

I tried setting the timezone in my OS to "America/New_York" and I still get this problem.

Your local timezone was not detected by default.

Steam uses the Chromium web browser - hence why you're experiencing the issue in both places.

So Steam doesn't detect my timezone. I hope they fix Steam so that it detects my timezone.
I don't have this problem with other desktop apps, nor with Chrome(/ium) based apps like Skype or Discord, so it's not insurmountable.

That is a problem on your end as i do not experience this issue and neither does others.

Attempt a re-installation. Ensure to backup all of your game files - including save files.

"neither does others" how many people did you ask in two minutes to find that out?

(1) We'd see more threads.

(2) I had the same issue in the past due to changing the timezone on my PC.

(3) Not a bug.

Should've been more clear: my OS timezone was "America/Montreal" when I encountered the problem. I changed the OS timezone to "America/New_York" and I still have the problem when using Steam, and I've yet to see the problem in other desktop applications or websites even when using Chrome.

Did reinstalling fix the problem for you? Which did you reinstall: Steam, Chromium, Chrome, or the OS ? You said you encountered this problem when changing the timezone on your PC; which timezone value caused the problem? Was there a timezone value that avoided the problem?

I found a workaround; changed the launch command to:

env TZ=America/New_York /usr/games/steam %U

would've been helpful to mention that you are one of the 0.5% people on Steam that uses Linux.
