You can't.
or you can go back a little further and stop yourself from buying thus avoiding the delay in getting your money back.
without a time machine (or a starship that can reach warp 10) you are stuck with the game.

their PR team did at least write enough to fill a novel.
and when you bought it, you bought the current state + all changes to the game, even when there are none.
you made a mistake. simple. be glad it was just a $30 game and not a million dollar shroom infested real estate.
learn from your mistakes
in similar variants there since day 1, did it prevent anyone? nope because people like buying into hype and dreams.
btw ... my eye catched this piece of candy i already see a storm of poop rising on every messageboard on the internet. sry if this was old, i don't pay too much attention for any entertain yourself sandbox games, because they are all garbage.
There are NO guarantees that the game will ever get additional features or even be finished.
Most early access tiltes are left in limbo and it looks like Dayz is one of them. Don't buy any early access title again OP, I learn that lesson many many moons ago.

And you clearly don't know what a scam is. They've been upfront about the the development of the game and the time before it comes out from Early Access. Face the facts: you're just upset and using the "it's a scam!" line to try and paint your disapointment as being due to something nefarious. Which is fine that you're upset with the status of the product, but making up misleading claims is not fine.
Just taking a cursory look at the threads, there are numerous ones that have constructive criticisms and reasonable debates. The ones that are locked are immature whinefests or threads that devolved into troll wars.
I'm sure you'll just think I'm a DayZ fanboy, but I honestly really dislike the DayZ-style games. Always have, always will. And DayZ is one of the examples I always point to whenever I see people complaining about Steam selling game genres they don't like, such as visual novels.
In short: You're not getting your money back. DayZ is not a scam. Your thread got locked because it's pointless whining and trolling.
All in all , the map is huge , fun as hell with friends to play it .
I got way more than my $19 out of the game . ( 500+ hours )
It was a very popular release a few years back . But it seems , i repeat , it seems BI have given up on the game .
If BI can make the ARMA series a big hit , why not DayZ ?
I know , a differant developement team for both , but still it seems to have been a cash grab for them and the money ran out .
I am rambling now .
Enjoy , HMZ
