Flashing on the taskbar

Hi!

Does anyone know how to turn the flashing of Steam on the taskbar off? It's absolutely driving me insane. It's flashing even when Im responding to someone's message. And I have multiple screens so I just have the chat window open. When I'm in-game I have to alt-tab out 3 times to make it stop. I've unchecked every single box in the notifications tab in the chat, selected 'Never", and it's still flashing.

On the /r/Steam subreddit discord someone recommended me to opt in for the Beta, and that seems that have solved it.

Not the best solution though. I opted out of the Beta because I didnt like the constant updates. But it seems to be the only solution at this moment so my hands are tied.

Theres a setting dor taskbar flashing, including a clear OFF option. That should help.

just a small disclaimer to this:
Steam does not have any own official discord.

what OP probably means is the /r/Steam subreddit discord

neither the subreddit nor their discord are under Valve control

not a real issue in this case here but in general please be careful when someone gives you instructions to do something with Steam in non-official Steam territory.

Valve will not hold anyone accountable for stuff that was done outside of Steam.

Because that was set on 'Never' and it was still flashing.

This is annoying as all hell, having the same issue even with notifications turned off

I have the same problem since the latest update. This happens even when I've manually gone and disabled every notification from the chat options.

Noticed this too it constantly flashes whenever someone writes to me doesn't matter if i reply or not it stays that way unless i restart.

For someone with OCD this is pretty f ... annoying!
