Traded item in game inventory but not in steam inventory
Basically, I lent some skins to my friend in CS:GO and while they do appear in his in-game inventory and he can use them, when we try to trade from steam the skins are not there. We can't trade from CS:GO because the trade is a black screen for both of us, so this is based on the steam application and the website. Any idea what may be happening?

Have you checked, if they are in showing in his Steam inventory? If they are for some reason temporarily trade restricted (for example he for some reason bought them on the market recently), they would not show in the trade window.

I just checked and he does in fact have the items in his steam inventory, just not in the trade. I'm guessing they're on hold or something, but is there any way to know for sure?

csgo items can not be retraded for 7 days.

Each item in Steam inventory has a notification text in their item description saying if they're restricted from market or trading and for how long if the restriction is temporary. The text is usually coloured in red.

Click the item in the inventory to view its description box to the right of the inventory panel.
