Steam games crashes computer, Risk of Power surge?

I started getting this problem when i downloaded Doom (2016) and started playing it. Everything was fine til i had to continue to a new zone or died and had to reload a checkpoint. As soon as i cliked the button the computer completely shut down, and started up again saying that Asus program against power surges shut down the computer to avoid a power surge.

Howwever i do not have any problems like this with games on other platforms like Wow, Overwatch from blizzard or Rainbow 6 Seige from Uplay.

Does anyone know what may be causing this? Ive tried to remove and redownload steam but i got the same problem. Ive uninstalled DOOM and tried Vagante and as soon as i pressed new game it happend again.

driver/hardware issue.

I have the lastest drivers, but how is it that the other games work then? ive only had issues with games on steam

Software does not usually cause crashes like that. That is a bad driver, or overheating, or hardware problems outside of the game. Just because it happens when the game is doing something, almost never means that the game is the cause. It's a symptom.

Make sure that your computer's hard ware - ALL OF IT - from motherboard to power supply, cables, and components, are clean, cool, and not fried. Shutdowns happen due to much more major things, than just a software incompatibility, and will usually get worse, not better, if you ignore the very real possibility that your hardware is going bad.
