• If you haven't formatted your computer since you deleted the user you can locate history in localconfig.vdf

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<Steam3ID>\config\

Open localconfig.vdf up with WordPad and CTRL+F to your friends. Find your friend.

• If the alias hasn't updated, see the number series in quotations, that's the Steam3ID.
  https://steamid.io/ add U:1: to start and then type the Steam3ID.

• Cache page can be WayBack Machine, Google Cache, SteamRep's cache, https://www.steamid.co.uk/

Yeah this helped me out on finding one of my deleted friends so I would help others out as well. The original poster name is set as "Teutep".
