How do I set my games on my profile to be private while also allowing people to see what games im currently playing?
My friend has it so nobody can see his games on his profile but we can also see what games he's currently playing. His steam just bugged or how do I do this as well?

I think its when your playing the game, Broadcasting is enabled> allow your friends to view it.
Look in Steam top left settings>broadcasting>Privacy settings. Expand that

you could do this:
1. go to your steam profile
2. click on "edit profile"
3. then go to "my privacy settings"
4. set your "game details" to "private"
ez

has nothing to do with what OP is asking.

you dont.
game details have to be not private to expose your playing status to your friends, for that game details has to be set to least friends-only.

your friend might have enabled the checkbox below that, and you can actually see his games, just not his playtime.

No, I can see that he's currently in game and that he's playing a game, but I can't see any games other than what he's currently playing. (No Games tab)
