I accidentally installed a game twice, what do I do?
I installed the game to a separate drive under Linux and then latter I went to play it acted like it was uninstalled so I'm like what the hell, so so I install it again and it warned me about installing and uninstalling could corrupt saves or something(after it's too late, what a great warning[/sarcasm]), And only then did I realize the drive I had installed the game to wasn't mounted. So the games now installed on two different drives. Obviously I don't need the game installed twice and I want to access the save from the first install.

So how do I remove one of the installs and recover the save?

the saves are 99% not in the games directory, but in an OS-based profile folder.

start up the game, check if everything is there.
if so, you can delete the files from the old location manually if you wanna free up space.

The save is not there. Also, I want to use my old location.
Also it likes to put the files everywhere in different randomly named files, I wouldn't even know what to delete.
