Steam taking too much space - fdxb folder
Hi All,
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and want to upgrade to Windows 10 later in the year. This shouldn't matter though regarding the problem.

My main issue is that Steam is taking over 100GB of space on my hard drive. I have uninstalled all but 3 of my games, including GTA V which is 120GB, but over 100GB is sitting in this folder called "fdxb"

I have used TreeSize to figure this out. The 100GB is in my C Drive and 73% of it is in Program Files (x86). 95% of program files x86 is taken up by steam. A screenshot of this can be found here: (https://imgur.com/a/nGwMTeM)

I am not sure what is taking up all this space, especially since I have uninstalled a lot of my games. I only have DCS:World, FSX:SE and R6 installed. A screenshot of this can be found here: (https://imgur.com/a/22iOPFJ)

Thank you in advance for all your help and I am sorry if this issue has been posted here before.

Regards,
lambtda

Your games are taking up the space, it might only be a few but they require a lot of storage.

DCS:World=66gb
FSX:SE=30gb+
R6=61gb+ (assuming that's rainbow 6)

its not the games, they're installed in another folder alongside the one he is questioning.

However, in their image, they have not expanded the fdxb folder to show exactly what is IN the folder! The easiest thing for the OP to do is actually look in the folder!

It could be a mod that they have installed or something else linked to a game, i cant find anything with a quick google of the name of the folder.
