can a 4pack gift be refunded to inventory ?

so i got a4pack of a game
activated it for myself and got 3 extra gifts
gave one to a friend and they didnt like it
can they refund it somehow back to my inventory ?

as far as I know its too late to refund the game as I bought it a while ago and its well over the time of teh refund
however the gift to him was very recent

i dont wanna ask them to do it until im sure it can be done

Your friend can't return the gift-copy and you're past the limit for a refund.

I honestly recall that it was possible to refund a gift from someone's inventory
they first have to click the button and allow it
though idk about 4pack'd gifts

Refunds on individual gifts can be done https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6643-QEUV-0459#redeemed_gift but I'm not sure about 4 packs. I don't think you can refund a copy back to your inventory and then transfer it to someone else. I imagine you can only refund the entire 4 pack assuming every recipient agrees to it and is within the standard refund policy.

But you're not wanting a *refund*, you're wanting a gift *return* back to your inventory. Not the same thing.

They can indeed be refunded. The receiver must tick a box saying you can and then then sender can refund it through the usual refund process.

refund to inventory does not exist.

refunds(get money back) on any multipack in easy:
1) the combined playtime of all copies has to be not more then 2 hours (and also 14 days as usual)
2) every copy owner, that is not yourself, has to permit the refund.
3) when 1) and 2) are positive/done, you can request a refund on the multipack purchase.

a sidenote on this:
multipacks are officially discontinued. every product that still has one is grandfathered. new products will not have multipacks.

Still exists.

Once the receiver ticks the box, the original sender can then request a refund like normal.
